Pond at Caldy Nature Park

WELCOME TO CALDY NATURE PARK

Characterised by woodland, an open meadow, wetlands and two small orchards, this picturesque twelve-hectare nature park is just a stone's throw away from Chester city centre. It is a perfect spot for an afternoon stroll. Running through the park is the Caldy Brook - a tributary to the River Dee. The park also boasts a maintained path network, plenty of benches for picnics and open space to enjoy.  Come and visit today.

Working Parties

Working parties take place on the first Wednesday of each month (except New Year's Day), from 9:30am to 12:30pm.  The council's Green Space Officer leads the group on important maintenance:

  • clearing paths,

  • cutting back vegetation,

  •  conservation tasks.

We provide the tools!  Just bring suitable working gloves, boots and clothes.   Everyone is welcome, you don't have to be a member or paid up!

We would love you to become a Member!   Membership is £5 per year; this money enables us to operate by funding things like:

  • keeping a First Aider qualified,

  • insurance for the working parties,

  • hosting of the website,

  • purchasing tools,

  • materials for projects to improve the park.
